IATF Rules - 6th edition

According to IATF Rules, item 5.8.3 d), each site audit (stage 2, surveillance, recertification and transfer) must include verification of how the customer ensures that all applicable latest versions of the customer-specific requirements have been identified, analyzed and implemented within the quality management system, including any changes since the previous audit.

In addition to this IATF rule, clause 7.5.1.1 - item d) of IATF 16949: 2016 requires that the organization's quality manual include a document, indicating where, within the quality management system, the specific requirements of clients are addressed.

The CSR System was developed to meet both IATF requirements, among others, providing users with a structured and robust methodology for collecting, analyzing, communicating and managing the implementation.

CSR System - 15 years

In 2024 CSR System completed 15 years. Throughout all these years the product has been refined in order to adapt to the new demands of the various stakeholders, especially the IATF and our customers.

Some significant events in our trajectory:

• 2010 - Launching the system
• 2011 - First customer
• 2013 - Database reaches 100 customer manuals
• 2015 - Launch of Version 2.0, with several improvements

CSR System

It is a computerized system, via the Internet, for the complete management of customer-specific requirements of automotive players, including the identification, interpretation, addressing and management of the implementation, in order to meet, in addition to the requirements of IATF 16949, f the IATF - 5th edition rules.
It has a database covering the specific requirements of the main automotive manufacturers, classified according to theIATF 16949 clauses and allowing searches by customers, requirements, keyword, processes, implementation situation, etc.

The database is updated periodically in order to incorporate the requirements revisions, with users being automatically notified.

IATF News

Since the issuance of IATF 16949, in October/2016, IATF has held conferences to get feedback from stakeholders, such as OEMs, suppliers and certification bodies, related to the adequacy of the standard content.

As a result of those conferences, several Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and Sanctioned Interpretations (SIs) have been issued by the IATF. There are currently 29 FAQs and 25 current SIs. It is important to highlight, unlike FAQs, which only provide clarification about the requirements of the standard, SIs change the normative text.

Aware of the relevance of those publications, their impacts on the organization’s quality management system and the certification process, since 2019, CSR System has incorporated such content on its database, in order to keep our customers always updated regarding this type of feedback from the IATF, in addition to providing system functionality for managing the implementation of FAQs / SIs, making the process more robust.

Whenever new FAQ and SI publications are posted, they will be incorporated into CSR System.

The original FAQs and SIs are made available through the IATF website: https://www.iatfglobaloversight.org/
